Baby Shower on a Budget
Two babies in one family at the same time can become an expensive time for family members as they prep for the arrival especially when they are only 3 months apart! I had the opportunity to help plan my sister-in-laws baby shower and had a very limited budget and time frame but really loved how everything turned out!
Do to the fact that I was hoping and praying for a girl (didn't happen) I had tons of ideas pinned on my pinterest page https://www.pinterest.com/shblalock/ that were going to be unused! I loved the gold and pink theme so decided to go with that!
Lucky for me we just opened a new Party City in town and they have party supplies sectioned by color! That's where I found the fans, tissue paper pom poms, and the gold paper lanterns for the overhead decoration. Looking back now i was i had purchased a curtain or backdrop of some kind for behind he table because the backdrop didn't match and it bugged me the entire time! I found the plates, silverware, & napkins at Family Dollar believe it or not! For my glassware: candy bar containers, drink pitcher, plates, etc i found everything on sale at Old Time Pottery which was my most expensive purchase but i was excited to purchase because I will be able to continue to use it all for my sons b-day parties!
Food was covered by my mother-in -law and for games I purchased clothes pins for the Don't Say Baby activity and mini plastic babies for the take care of your baby game. (found at Hobby Lobby $2.99) so that made things pretty simple and the end result was great for a shower under $120!
