Minion Birthday
Planning a Birthday in a hurry can always be stressful but this time I got very lucky with my son choosing Minions as the theme. We decided to have his party at The Island in Pigeon Forge which is a great entertainment destination. You can check out all they have to offer here:
Mellow Mushroom was a great location because they have a covered patio area that can be a private section for parties. My son wanted pizza so to make it a bit more interactive we did Pizza School. Most Mellow Mushrooms offer this and basically the kids get to make their own pizza. The kids had a blast with it and it gave them a fun activity to do!
After Pizza the kids enjoyed the custom minion cupcakes from Sweet Shoppe of the South and a candy buffett from Sweet! All are businesses on The Island. Once we wrapped up with that we got the kids Unlimited Ride wristbands for The Island and let them spend the afternoon riding rides!
As far as decorations it was pretty simple this year. Tablecloths, plates, napkins all from Party City. Custom cupcakes from Sweet Shoppe of the South. I found cute Twinkie printables to create edible minions. The Caricature Studio on the Island did a fun Caricature of Mac with Minions and each kid got to sign which was a great keepsake for us!
I would definitly recommend The Island for a fun interactive party! Be prepared to stay a long time with tons of business, rides, and Arcade City!
